Children's Storytime
Tuesdays at 9am.
Let Michelle or Tawana read a book or two to your little ones!
Following our summer break, Storytime resumes on Tuesday, September 5.
Late Night @
The Library
Pizza, sodas, snacks... and a movie!
Next movie night to be announced. What will it be, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny? Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning? Barbenheimer? Stay tuned!
Banned Books Week
October 1-7, 2023
Let freedom read!
Stop by the library and peruse our selection of books which have been challenged or banned in America over the past century. Some of the titles may shock you!
Solar Eclipse!
Saturday, October 14
The entire "Ring of Fire" eclipse will be visible from San Angelo!
The eclipse begins at 10:20am and its maximum will be for three minutes beginning at 11:48am. During the maximum, only a thin ring of sunlight (the "Ring of Fire") will be visible in the sky as the Moon passes in front of the Sun!
We'll have eclipse glasses for safe solar viewing (while supplies last!) and light refreshments!
Star Party!
Friday, November 17
A month after the Sun and Moon put on a show, we'll let the night sky have its turn!
Beginning shortly after sunset, we'll have the telescopes set up outside the library to view the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn and more!
It might be cold (this is San Angelo, so maybe not!) so we'll have Hot Chocolate and other light refreshments available!
